Discover the "Secret of Photography" with flexible courses that can be linked together........

Philip runs weekly photography classes - these are usually ten week sessions, held on either a Tuesday or Thursday evening during school terms in Gilesgate Community School. Everyone is welcome - a wide range of photographers attend - from complete beginners to those who have work regularly published. The course covers digital and, indeed, film photography both in theory and practical

and covers many interesting subjects and one or two field trips are usually held to support class work and discussion.

Workshops:

One or two day events covering particular aspects of photography in a little more detail, for example, "Landscape, History and Heritage", "Flash, Portraits and People", and "Natural History and Close-ups" - these are either held in a suitable location with private room or in a studio etc.

Photographic Walks:

Philips acclaimed photowalks are included in Durham County Council's Guided Walks Programme and are usually well supported events.

Lectures/Private Tuition:

Lectures on photography to private organisations and companies, as well as sessions of private tuition, by the day or half day, are available by prior appointment.
